About the role
Mamamia, Australia’s largest independent women’s media group, is seeking a Lead Video Producer to steer its video and audio production teams while staying hands‑on with creation. You will set creative and technical standards for content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms, and collaborate with commercial partners on branded campaigns.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, roster and mentor Video and Audio Producer teams, ensuring smooth, efficient workflows.
- Personally film, edit and produce high‑calibre video content for multiple platforms.
- Act as the primary creative and technical liaison for commercial and brand partnership projects.
- Conduct quality‑control checks to maintain on‑brand, high‑quality output.
- Collaborate with hosts, producers and cross‑functional teams to bring creative visions to life.
- Explore and implement AI‑assisted editing tools and workflow innovations.
- Monitor industry trends and platform updates, translating insights into fresh direction.
- Support the Head of Content Operations & Production by resolving production issues and workflow blockers.
Required profile
- Proven senior‑level experience as a video producer with a track record of managing and mentoring teams.
- Hands‑on mindset: comfortable leading meetings and operating a camera or editing complex content.
- Strong judgment under pressure, balancing audience, host and commercial needs.
- Collaborative communicator who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
- Experience with AI‑assisted editing tools such as AutoCut.
- Familiarity with workflow management platforms like Monday.com and Slack.
- Solid knowledge of lighting, framing and audio capture techniques.
