Lead User Researcher - Hardware Research

About the role

Resmed is seeking a Lead User Researcher to shape the future of its physical products through deep user insight. This six‑month fixed‑term contract will focus on hardware such as masks, devices, accessories and connected experiences, working closely with engineering, design and product management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end research strategy across hardware and connected‑experience programs.
• Design, conduct and guide a range of research activities from early discovery through concept evaluation.
• Translate insights into evidence‑based recommendations that inform product, design and business decisions.
• Build empathy for users across Resmed by communicating insights through compelling storytelling and collaboration.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience researching physical products, preferably in medical devices or healthcare technologies.
• Strong qualitative and mixed‑method research background with confidence leading in‑person studies.
• Proven ability to drive research projects from planning through delivery in product development settings.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and storytelling skills.

Required skills

• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work hybrid with at least two days per week in the Bella Vista office.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
