Lead Structural Engineer – Bridges

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Structural Engineer specialising in bridges to join Aurecon’s Perth office. The role will drive the planning, design and delivery of bridge and civil structure projects, providing technical leadership and ensuring engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design and delivery of bridge and civil structure projects, ensuring safety, compliance and innovation.
• Manage multidisciplinary project delivery, controlling scope, resources, schedule, budget, quality and risk.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering trusted technical advice and supporting business development through proposals and tenders.
• Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee project governance, compliance and technical/commercial risk to achieve successful outcomes.
• Champion safety, sustainability and resilience principles across all engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Relevant civil/structural engineering qualifications with extensive bridge design experience.
• Strong knowledge of Australian bridge standards and road authority requirements.
• CPEng or equivalent professional registration.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management and project delivery capability.
• Commercial awareness and strong problem‑solving abilities.
