Lead Security Architect – Cloud Migration

About the role

The Lead Security Architect will own the security architecture for a wave‑based application migration and modernisation programme in a highly secure federal government environment. You will work closely with the Project Delivery Lead and the Lead Cloud Migration Architect to ensure alignment with Australian Government security and AI governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the migration security approach, target architecture, and tooling/AI usage in line with ISM, PSPF, Essential Eight and IRAP.
• Engage with the customer’s cybersecurity leadership, represent Unisys in security governance forums, and act as the programme’s security subject‑matter expert.
• Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, and remediation planning for Azure and AWS migration projects.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in security architecture, consulting or engineering across cloud, infrastructure, identity, network and endpoint security.
• Proven delivery of security architecture for large‑scale application migrations to Azure and AWS, preferably in government or highly regulated environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with senior technical and executive audiences.
