Lead SAP Data Migration Consultant – Melbourne

About the role

Infosys is looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to drive the end‑to‑end migration of legacy data into a SAP S/4HANA environment for a client in the education sector. This client‑facing position requires strong technical expertise, strategic planning, and the ability to coordinate across functional and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the data migration strategy aligned with SAP Activate methodology.
• Define migration scope, objects, timelines, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to gather legacy data requirements.
• Lead ETL processes using SAP Migration Cockpit, LTMC, and related tools.
• Manage staging tables, templates, and migration objects.
• Oversee data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading activities.
• Guide and mentor data migration consultants and analysts.
• Collaborate with functional leads across modules such as HCM, FI, MM, and SD.
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, audit readiness, and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Conduct workshops, status updates, and risk assessments, and liaise with SAP and third‑party vendors as needed.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience delivering SAP data migration projects.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex migration programmes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience in the education sector is a plus.
