Lead Maritime Structures Designer

About the role

As a Lead Maritime Structures Designer you will provide technical leadership across the delivery of complex maritime and coastal infrastructure projects. Based in Brisbane (or Perth) you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, practical solutions for ports, harbours, wharves, jetties, marine terminals, defence facilities and other coastal assets.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients and project teams on design and delivery from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, constructible solutions.
• Deliver high‑quality design packages, including BIM modelling, documentation, technical reviews and design verification.
• Champion digital engineering and smart delivery practices, leveraging data‑centric design, model‑based workflows and automation.
• Mentor and support designers and modelers across local and global teams, fostering technical excellence.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering, design or drafting qualifications with significant experience in marine or industrial structures.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including development and management of intelligent structural models.
• Strong experience in design and delivery of maritime infrastructure (reinforced concrete, steel, pile‑supported structures) in greenfield and brownfield environments.
• Understanding of digital engineering and BIM best practice, including project information management and BIM execution planning.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance for Defence projects.
