Laboratory Technician – Organics

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join the Organics section of our modern, NATA‑accredited laboratory in Croydon South, Melbourne. The role involves preparing and analysing environmental samples using wet‑chemistry techniques and supporting the smooth operation of laboratory processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse samples, performing organic analysis with wet chemistry.
• Follow quality control protocols to maintain high analytical standards.
• Adhere to laboratory safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace through regular housekeeping.

Required profile

• A degree in Science with a Chemistry major is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in a similar laboratory role is desirable.
