About the role

ALS is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Food & Pharmaceutical chemistry team in Rydalmere, NSW. This permanent, full‑time position involves preparing samples for analytical testing and ensuring high‑quality results within client turnaround times.

Key responsibilities

  • Process and analyse samples within defined holding times, maintaining quality standards.
  • Organise tasks to maximise daily efficiency and raise any anomalies for investigation.
  • Perform equipment calibration, housekeeping duties, and consumable stock control.
  • Complete proficiency activities and other duties as required.

Required profile

  • Laboratory certificate or science qualification, preferably chemistry.
  • At least 1 year experience in a commercial, client‑focused chemistry laboratory.
  • Strong organisational, numerical, and internal customer focus.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.

Required skills

  • HPLC operation and analytical testing.
  • Sample preparation and calculation of analytical preparations.
  • Equipment calibration and maintenance.
