Kitchen Steward

About the role

Join the kitchen team at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Convention Centre, a vibrant coastal destination where resort dining meets large‑scale conference and event operations. As a Kitchen Steward you will support the culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness across all kitchen and food & beverage areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS standards.
• Follow correct food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Support basic kitchen preparation and keep mise en place ready.
• Assist the broader kitchen team and support chefs during service.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Good time management and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, adaptable attitude and strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
