About the role

Join the Qantas Lounge team in Canberra as a Kitchen Hand, supporting the kitchen crew in delivering a friendly and efficient service for our guests. You will work on a rotating roster, starting at 12:30 pm, in a fast‑paced airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the kitchen team with food preparation and service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen area.
• Follow food‑safety procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Stock and replenish kitchen supplies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet guest expectations.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to work on your feet in a high‑pace environment.
• Available to work from 12:30 pm on a rotating roster.
• Pass a Federal Police Clearance and hold Australian working rights.
• Previous experience in a high‑volume commercial kitchen.
• Understanding of food and beverage safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a warm, friendly attitude.
