Kitchen Hand – Airport Lounge

About the role

Join the Qantas Lounge team in Canberra as a Kitchen Hand, supporting the kitchen crew in a high‑volume, upscale airport environment. You will help deliver the friendly, professional service that makes guests feel valued and welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and plating.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen and service areas.
• Ensure compliance with food‑and‑beverage safety regulations.
• Support the flow of service during peak periods, working on a rotating roster starting at 12:30 pm.
• Handle stock rotation and basic inventory tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a high‑volume commercial kitchen.
• Ability to pass a Federal Police Clearance for airport work.
• Australian working rights.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
