Kitchen Hand - Aged Care

About the role

Aegis Amherst, an aged care facility in Canning Vale serving up to 133 residents, is looking for a Kitchen Hand. This is a casual position working under the direction and support of the Cook/Chef Manager. The role involves preparing and serving residents' meals according to their dietary and care plans.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve residents' meals according to dietary and care plans, in line with the menus developed by the kitchen team.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in line with infection control standards.
• Ensure correct food handling techniques are always followed.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Experience preparing and cooking food for a large number of people.
• Knowledge of food safety.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
• Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
