Kitchen Chef - Bistro & Events

About the role

NRMA Parks & Resorts is looking for an experienced Chef to join its team at the Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort in South Durras. The role suits someone who enjoys the fast pace of a bistro kitchen as well as the creativity and organisation behind weddings, functions and special events. It is a part-time position of up to 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver quality bistro-style food
• Support food preparation and service across weddings, functions and events
• Work closely with the kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to deliver a great guest experience
• Maintain high standards of presentation, food safety and kitchen cleanliness
• Bring energy, organisation and a hands-on approach to every service

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen
• Experience catering for weddings, functions or events
• Ability to work confidently during busy service periods
• Relevant cookery qualifications and food safety knowledge

Required skills

• Strong bistro-style cooking skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, flexible and can-do attitude
