Kindergarten Assistant (Casual) – Bundaberg Region

About the role

The Diocese of Rockhampton is seeking enthusiastic Kindergarten Assistants to support Catholic Kindergartens in the Bundaberg Region. These casual roles start as soon as possible and may continue with term‑time hours throughout the 2026 school year. You will work directly with the Kindergarten Director and collaborate with teachers, families, and the Early Learning & Care Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group support to students, including those with additional needs.
• Monitor student progress and behaviour, offering feedback to teachers.
• Support administrative tasks such as record‑keeping and organising educational materials.

Required profile

• Commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school and a genuine interest in early childhood development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting.
• Minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services or an equivalent ACECQA‑approved qualification.
