Junior Technical Solutions Engineer – APAC

About the role

Our client, a leading innovator in communication and collaboration technology, is seeking a Junior Technical Solutions Engineer for the APAC region. The role involves delivering technical solutions to customers and supporting sales teams, with travel across South‑East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from a home office.

Key responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and present technology solutions that meet business and technical needs.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations, demos and proposals (RFIs/RFPs) to customers.
• Respond to technical queries and provide accurate information to sales colleagues.
• Collaborate with product development to stay current on new features and communicate updates to clients.
• Provide technical training to distributors and end‑users.
• Participate in industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote solutions and gather market insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering role, preferably in telecom or cloud solutions.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Legal authorization to work in Australia or New Zealand without sponsorship.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Operating systems: Linux Red Hat (general understanding).
• Network architecture: Private LTE, 5G.
• Protocols: SIP, Diameter, MRCP, TCP/IP, SS7 (ISUP, MAP, INAP).
• Databases: Oracle, MySQL.
• Mobile platforms: basic knowledge of Android and iOS devices and applications.
• Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Visio (or similar diagramming tool).
• Experience with RFI/RFP processes and technical proposal writing.
