Junior Software Engineer

About the role

Join Tabcorp’s fast‑moving gaming technology team as a Junior Software Engineer. You’ll build on 1.5‑2 years of backend experience, working on Node.js and TypeScript services that power critical gaming platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Troubleshoot production issues across live technology environments.
• Support and enhance APIs and services.
• Collaborate with engineers during agile delivery activities.
• Improve system performance and reliability.

Required profile

• 2 years of commercial experience developing backend applications with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to build, support and troubleshoot production APIs.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Experience with database concepts and SQL.
• Interest in cloud, containerisation and modern development tools.
