Junior Governance, Risk & Compliance Analyst (Part‑time Cadet)

About the role

This part‑time cadetship offers students the chance to earn while they learn, gaining hands‑on experience in ICT governance, risk and compliance within Leidos Australia. You will support risk assessments, evidence collection and audit preparation for Australian Government clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with collection, review and maintenance of cyber security governance evidence.
• Support risk assessments by documenting risks, controls, treatment actions and follow‑up activities.
• Contribute to reporting and prepare material for internal and external audits.
• Help maintain policies, standards, procedures, registers and other governance documentation.
• Track remediation actions, exceptions, review dates and governance artefact updates.

Required profile

• Australian citizen eligible for National Security Clearance.
• Currently studying a degree or diploma in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Risk Management or related field.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Clear communication and ability to work well with others.

Required skills

• Understanding of governance frameworks, cyber security standards, audit and risk management concepts.
