Junior Data Analyst – Data & Analytics Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

UCentric is embedding a Junior Data & Analytics Specialist within a large multinational retailer. Working in a hybrid model, you will help transform operational data into actionable insights that drive efficiency across supply chain, finance and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own operational and performance data used by stakeholders across the business.
• Design, build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that track key metrics.
• Extract, clean and analyse data using SQL and analytics tools.
• Partner with non‑technical stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions.
• Automate manual, spreadsheet‑heavy reporting by creating structured datasets and improved workflows.
• Interpret trends, identify gaps and provide actionable insights for short‑ and long‑term decisions.
• Work within enterprise systems and cloud‑based data environments, navigating ambiguity.
• Maintain documentation to ensure continuity of reporting.

Required profile

• Advanced Excel capability with the judgement to move beyond Excel when needed.
• Strong experience using SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Proven experience building dashboards and visualisations with enterprise BI tools.
• Experience operating in large, complex organisations with evolving requirements.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks without constant direction.
• Clear communication skills for explaining data to non‑technical audiences.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms.
