Junior Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

Covetrus is seeking a Junior Accounts Payable Officer on a 6‑month contract to join its Northgate finance team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will gain hands‑on experience in a large, global organisation supporting veterinary practices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage shared Accounts Payable email inboxes, responding to a high volume of enquiries.
• Review, track and follow up invoice approvals to ensure timely processing.
• Process, reconcile and maintain accurate Accounts Payable records and documentation.
• Maintain electronic and hard‑copy filing systems, including scanning and archiving supplier master files.
• Enter high‑volume stock and operational invoices.
• Contribute to process improvement projects as required.

Required profile

• Previous finance experience with exposure to Accounts Payable or Receivable.
• Experience using an ERP or accounting system and strong MS Excel skills.
• Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• High accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable, flexible and collaborative team player.
