Java API Architect – Sydney

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Java API Architect to lead transformative technology strategies for its clients in Sydney, Australia. The role offers a competitive annual gross salary of AUD 129,311 – 142,018 and flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based RESTful APIs and micro‑services using Spring Boot.
• Create and manage Swagger specifications and ensure API security, performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA and frontend teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate third‑party APIs, optimise application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Utilise CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins/Bamboo, SonarQube) and GCP cloud services for automated delivery.

Required profile

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4 years as an API Architect.
• Hands‑on expertise in API development, Spring framework and Java.
• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Strong communication, mentoring and stakeholder‑management abilities.
