IT Support Technician – Sydney

About the role

The IT Support Technician is the first point of contact for all IT requests at Mivada’s Sydney office. You will provide hands‑on, on‑site assistance to staff, manage local inventory and follow documented runbooks while developing your skills under the guidance of the IT & Security Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets in Jira Service Management and provide on‑site help for hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11 and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 applications, peripherals and Wi‑Fi problems.
• Escalate complex cases to the IT & Security Associate with clear notes and reproduction steps.
• Track and audit all IT assets in the Sydney office using Mivada’s ITAM system, including shipping, receiving and disposal.
• Install and configure operating systems, enroll devices in Intune (Windows) or Mosyle (macOS) and verify compliance before issue.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, maintain a tidy storage area and contribute to documentation improvements.

Required profile

• Recent graduate, diploma holder or up to one year of experience in an IT‑related role (including internships or personal projects).
• Comfortable using Windows and macOS as a user and navigating basic settings.
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and basic networking concepts such as IP addresses, Wi‑Fi and DNS.
• Strong written English for clear ticket documentation.
• Ability to work independently on‑site while reporting to a remote manager.
