IT Support Engineer

About the role

LGT is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join its Technology team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on delivering first and second‑line end‑user computing support for hardware and software across its Australian offices, while contributing to continuous service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide frontline support via email, telephone and walk‑up, handling service requests and incidents.
• Triaging and routing tickets to appropriate teams, maintaining accurate records until closure.
• Diagnose, prioritize and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Deploy, move and replace workstations, laptops and desktop accessories.
• Support Identity and Access Management tasks, including provisioning, role‑based access control and password resets.
• Maintain process documentation and manage consumable stock levels.
• Liaise with suppliers and third‑party vendors for printer services and equipment quotes.
• Assist with project‑related tasks such as hardware roll‑outs and system upgrades.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a Helpdesk or Technical Support role.
• Experience in a financial services environment is highly desirable.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of Apple iOS devices.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes.
• Hardware troubleshooting and deployment skills.
• Software support and basic networking knowledge.
• Printer services and audio‑visual equipment troubleshooting.
