IT Support Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

Join Hypersonix, an Australian aerospace and advanced‑manufacturing company, as an IT Support Engineer I. You will be the first point of contact for service‑desk requests, ensuring that employees’ devices, identities and everyday systems run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Log, triage and resolve tickets as the primary service‑desk contact.
• Provide first‑ and second‑level support for laptops, Microsoft 365 and business applications.
• Configure, deploy and maintain laptops and peripherals using RMM tools; keep asset records up to date.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding, managing accounts, licences and access in Entra ID.
• Handle day‑to‑day identity and access tasks across Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Assist the Infrastructure Engineer with routine tasks on Microsoft 365, Entra ID and AWS‑hosted systems.
• Monitor system health, patching and backups; escalate anomalies promptly.
• Document systems, processes and knowledge‑base articles.
• Support security activities such as alert review, endpoint issue follow‑up and NIST 800‑171 compliance tasks.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career IT professional.
• Comfortable working at pace, learning quickly and taking ownership of problems.
• Strong technical rigour combined with the ability to adapt to a fast‑moving environment.
