IT Officer – Level 1/2 Support & Site Connectivity

About the role

We are seeking an IT Officer to join Global Engineering & Construction’s Brisbane office. The role combines day‑to‑day desktop support with hands‑on deployment of connectivity solutions for remote project sites, including Starlink satellite internet.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for office and field users across hardware, laptops, mobile devices and Microsoft 365.
• Configure, build and deploy end‑user equipment for new hires and site teams.
• Install, test and troubleshoot networking, Wi‑Fi and remote connectivity, including Starlink installations for regional operations.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset registers and hardware lifecycle records.
• Collaborate with operational teams to minimise downtime and ensure smooth business continuity.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 service‑desk or IT support role.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical staff.
