IT Helpdesk Technician

About the role

We are a growing Managed Service Provider based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches looking for a hands‑on IT Helpdesk Technician. You will act as the primary technical contact for a portfolio of small‑to‑medium businesses, delivering both remote and on‑site support across Greater Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1–2 technical support via phone, email, remote tools and on‑site visits.
• Deploy, configure and maintain Windows and macOS laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, 3CX and core network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi.
• Travel to client locations for installations, hardware roll‑outs and troubleshooting.
• Own the full ticket lifecycle, document incidents and identify recurring issues to improve client operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a Managed Service Provider environment.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Ability to pass a National Police Check.

• Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
• RMM platforms.
• Basic networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls.
• Backup solutions and 3CX telephony.
• Routers, switches and Wi‑Fi equipment.
