IT Auditor – Information Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Auditor to join our Brisbane team and help safeguard the security and efficiency of our information systems. The role involves evaluating IT controls, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to protect critical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive audits of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal IT controls, pinpoint weaknesses, and propose remediation actions.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand processes, drive improvements, and support automation initiatives.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and actionable plans.
• Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, IT trends, and best practices to continuously enhance audit methodologies.
• Assist in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Support external auditors and contribute to external audit processes.
• Deliver IT‑related training to raise awareness of security and compliance across the organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CISA or CISSP are preferred.
• Proven experience in IT auditing, risk assessment, or a similar role, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
