Inventory and Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Inventory & Logistics Coordinator to join our Commercial Team. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will ensure that inventory is available at the right location, at the right time, supporting both planned and unplanned maintenance activities across our rail network.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inventory across depots and stores, managing logistics from planning through delivery or transfer.
• Verify delivery documentation and conduct visual quality inspections on receipt of inventory.
• Administer and monitor inventory transfers in line with purchase orders and maintenance work orders.
• Plan, monitor and report on inventory and logistics for maintenance activities.
• Support warranty and refurbishment processes in line with operational strategy.
• Manage complex logistics to provide inventory for operations and maintenance.
• Control quality of inventory provisions, reporting any non‑compliant items.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, safety and cost efficiency.
• Communicate inventory status and updates across the business.
• Maintain supplier shipment reports and ensure accurate scheduling.

Required profile

• Proven experience in inventory coordination and logistics within a resources or transport environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
