Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support the delivery of the Group Internal Audit Plan, providing risk‑focused audit engagements across the BOQ Group. Working within a structured methodology, you will assess the design and operating effectiveness of risk management practices and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, process mapping, test planning and execution.
• Gather and document sufficient audit evidence, evaluate control effectiveness and identify exceptions.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders, validate results and contribute to root‑cause analysis.
• Draft clear audit reports, track remediation actions and ensure issues are closed.
• Support continuous improvement by enhancing audit tools, templates and leveraging basic analytics.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, business, commerce, economics or related discipline.
• Early‑career exposure to audit, risk, compliance, finance or operational environments.
• Foundational understanding of risk and internal controls.
• Progress toward or interest in professional certification such as CA, CPA or CIA.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity, discretion with sensitive information and a proactive learning mindset.
