Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Wise is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join its fast‑growing Internal Audit team focused on the APAC region, primarily Australia. You will coordinate and execute internal audits, manage audit teams, and work closely with internal and external partners to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework, including continuous monitoring and automated audit routines.
• Develop the annual audit plan for Wise Australia Pty Ltd and Wise Australia Investments Pty Ltd, covering audit universe, risk assessment, and budgeting.
• Execute audits according to the plan, deliver timely and relevant audit outcomes, and prepare quarterly audit committee papers.
• Build and mentor a self‑sufficient internal audit team.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and measure the effectiveness of improvements.
• Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and travel as needed.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of non‑financial risks and regulatory processes such as Information Security, Data Privacy, Consumer Protection, Risk Management, Governance, and Regulatory Reporting.
• Proven experience in risk, control, or assurance roles, preferably with technology‑enabled assurance.
• Experience delivering data‑driven audit engagements and continuous monitoring.
