Interim Financial Controller

About the role

Our client, a global FMCG business operating well‑known consumer brands across Australia, is undertaking a major carve‑out and building a new finance and supply‑chain function. They are seeking an Interim Financial Controller on a one‑year fixed‑term basis to lead finance activities throughout the transition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance and financial statement preparation.
• Drive FP&A, margin analysis and commercial partnering across the business.
• Manage supply‑chain finance, including cost‑structure analysis for manufacturing.
• Support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with the finance team to establish processes and controls for the newly formed function.

Required profile

• Strong commercial finance background in FMCG or consumer‑goods environment.
• Experience with supply‑chain and manufacturing cost structures.
• Solid technical accounting foundation and familiarity with PE‑backed businesses and carve‑outs.
• Proven ability to work in ambiguous, build‑out environments.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract of 12 months with a salary range of AUD 170,000‑180,000 plus superannuation.
