Integrated Logistics Support Engineer

About the role

Raytheon Australia is seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer to join a project delivering services for the Navy's Surface Fleet. The role is hybrid and can be based at one of several Defence locations, working with Defence and industry partners. You will set the vision, build the plan and help foster a strong, safe team culture, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and supported by the Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain functional, reliability and sparing models
• Act as Subject Matter Expert on ILS artefacts
• Prepare and maintain project ILS plans, technical data and documentation, technical data lists, maintenance support plans and maintenance procedures
• Contribute to the Asset Management Policy/Framework and Asset Management Plans
• Carry out ILS activities so that technical, maintenance planning, training and support documentation stays compliant
• Help develop methodologies, processes and tools for operations planning and management systems covering maintenance, engineering, supply support, production and other technical areas

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical, electronic, structural or mechanical), with enough professional development to reach CPEng recognition with Engineers Australia
• Demonstrated experience with Defence maritime sustainment artefacts
• Experience representing engineering professional services to internal and external customers
• Previous exposure to Defence projects and to the Defence Logistics Toolset desirable
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 55000/55001 series standards desirable
• Analytical skills to assess material status of complex maritime plant and supporting data
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a team
