Information and Communications Technology Officer

About the role

The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Officer provides client‑focused ICT support to regional, district and state operations centres. The role designs and implements ICT strategies that align with operational and business objectives, while advising on optimal use of ICT products and ensuring compliance with departmental and whole‑of‑government policies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ICT support services across multiple regions, districts and state operations centres.
• Develop, implement and maintain ICT strategies and services that meet business goals.
• Provide authoritative advice on ICT solutions, products and services to internal and external stakeholders.
• Research emerging ICT trends and technologies to propose effective business solutions.
• Ensure adherence to public‑sector ICT policies and best practices.
• Travel on official business as required, holding a valid “C” class driver’s licence.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering customer‑focused ICT support in a complex operational environment.
• Proven ability to give authoritative advice on a wide range of ICT solutions.
• Strong conceptual, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to quality service.
• Ability to research and apply emerging ICT trends to improve efficiency.
