Industry Director – Energy

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an Industry Director for its Energy team in Australia. You will lead market‑facing growth, shape client strategies and mobilise the firm’s multidisciplinary capabilities to deliver sustainable, profitable outcomes in the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute industry strategies that build a strong pipeline and deliver ambitious New Work Secured outcomes.
• Build and nurture senior executive relationships across utilities, generators, renewable developers and related energy markets.
• Identify, prioritise and lead major pursuits, converting market insight into measurable revenue and backlog.
• Lead strategic client portfolios and Client Engagement Teams, bringing together expertise from across Aurecon.
• Inspire and align cross‑functional teams, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Proven record of delivering significant revenue or New Work Secured results.
• Established senior client relationships in the Australian energy sector.
• Experience in consulting or professional services with a focus on shaping pursuits and leading major bids.
• Strong understanding of energy market trends, regulation, value chains and emerging opportunities.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without direct authority.
