Inclusion Leader – Aboriginal, Disability & EALD Students

About the role

The Inclusion Leader at Hendon Primary School will champion equitable learning experiences for Aboriginal students, students with disabilities, and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD) learners. Reporting to senior school leadership, this role focuses on developing and implementing inclusive strategies that enhance participation and achievement across the school community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead inclusive programmes tailored to Aboriginal, disability, and EALD student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and external agencies to create supportive learning environments.
• Monitor student progress, analyse data, and adjust interventions to improve outcomes.
• Provide professional development and coaching for staff on inclusive practices.
• Advise school leadership on policy development and compliance with inclusion standards.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and current registration.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse student groups, particularly Aboriginal, disability, and EALD learners.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to cultural responsiveness and equity.
