Incident Response Senior Consultant (Remote, Australia)

About the role

As a Senior Consultant you will lead reactive and proactive incident response engagements for clients across the Asia Pacific and Japan region. You will work remotely from Australia, collaborating with a high‑performing team to stop sophisticated breaches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident response engagements and provide guidance to organizations during active threat actor activity.
• Perform advanced host and network forensics on Windows, macOS and Linux systems.
• Produce high‑quality written and verbal reports, presentations and recommendations for customer management.
• Present technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Contribute thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts and public speaking events.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in incident response investigations, including APT, organized crime and hacktivist threats.
• Strong background in computer and network forensic analysis.
• Ability to develop tactical and strategic remediation plans for compromised organizations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.

Required skills

• Forensic analysis on Windows, macOS and Linux platforms.
• Network protocol knowledge and network log analysis.
• Threat intelligence and adversary attribution.
• Use of AI technologies to enhance decision‑making and workflow efficiency.
• Preferred certifications: GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or equivalent.
