IEA Employment Consultant - Caulfield

About the role

APM is recruiting an Employment Consultant for its Inclusive Employment Australia Program at the Caulfield, VIC site. The role supports people with disability to prepare for, find and maintain sustainable employment, helping them identify their employment match and build confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Support participants with disability to prepare for, find and maintain sustainable employment
• Help participants see their strengths, overcome obstacles and take on their new employment with renewed purpose
• Provide creative solutions to employment challenges so each participant has the tools and support they need
• Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and workplace adjustments
• Celebrate each successful placement, big and small
• Build partnerships with companies passionate about diversity and inclusion

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in Australia
• Current driver's licence and a fully insured vehicle
• MyGovID (standard level)
• Willingness to complete a National Police Check and pass a Working with Children Check
• Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
• A champion of diversity and inclusion, a natural connector and someone who sees challenges as opportunities
• Experience in sales, retail, call centre, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration is an advantage
