ICT Team Leader – Melbourne

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced ICT & Security Consultant to lead a large multidisciplinary team in Melbourne. The role combines technical design, stakeholder management and business development across major infrastructure projects in Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Support regional and national ICT consulting teams on diverse projects and opportunities.
• Manage stakeholder engagement, technology road‑mapping, briefing and sign‑off.
• Lead business development, tenders and mentor junior ICT staff.
• Drive quality assurance, business culture and growth initiatives.
• Design and oversee systems architecture, cloud, IAM, networking, Wi‑Fi, endpoint devices, structured cabling and security solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Proven experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary ICT projects.
• Ability to obtain RPEV qualifications, security licence and defence clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Cloud, identity and access management, server/storage, integrated networking, Wi‑Fi, endpoint devices.
• Structured cabling, CCTV, electronic access control, intruder alarm, perimeter intrusion detection, Type 1A security alarm systems.
• Clinical and non‑clinical healthcare applications (nurse call, RTLS, patient entertainment).
• Audio‑visual systems (IPTV, video/telepresence, collaboration, PAVA, digital signage).
• Preferred: certifications such as CPEng, NER, CISSP, CTS; familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, Visio, AutoCAD.
