ICT Engineer

About the role

The ICT Engineer will join BAE Systems' Melbourne office to design, implement and maintain ICT solutions that support critical business operations. Working closely with the ICT Team Lead, you will deliver projects, provide Level 3 support and ensure system security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain ICT engineering solutions aligned with operational and business requirements.
• Deliver ICT projects and technical tasks within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Provide Level 3 Help Desk support, investigating, troubleshooting and resolving incidents and service requests.
• Monitor, test and deploy security patches, and manage software builds across development, testing and production environments.
• Maintain and upgrade Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) applications and associated infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain accurate ICT design documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship with Minimum Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance.
• Degree in ICT or Engineering.
• 3‑4 years of experience in ICT engineering roles, including implementation of ICT infrastructure and system solutions.
• Proven ability to deliver technical projects on time and within budget.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
