Human Resources Officer – Learning & Development

About the role

Marriott International is looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer to join its Perth hotel team. The role focuses on delivering Learning and Development programmes while supporting the broader HR function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, organisation and facilitation of all training initiatives for the hotel.
• Collaborate with HR colleagues and Quality Managers to monitor online training completion and compliance.
• Partner with hotel leaders to encourage regular career conversations and employee growth.
• Assist the HR team with recruitment, payroll, employee relations, wellbeing and engagement activities.
• Provide guidance to staff and managers on HR policies, programs and procedures.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business or a related field (desirable).
• Previous experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a customer‑service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all management levels.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia.
