Human Resources Officer

About the role

Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Human Resources Officer to join its HR team supporting the Queensland Metallurgical Operations. Based in Mount Isa, the role offers a residential Monday‑to‑Friday roster with flexible lifestyle options.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data entry for payroll elements, performance reviews, filing management and other HR functions.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding of employees, including travel arrangements.
• Control and prepare HR documents.
• Execute end‑of‑month reporting and processing.
• Audit HR systems.
• Provide administrative support to HR advisors as needed.
• Answer internal and external stakeholder phone calls.

Required profile

• Experience with SuccessFactors, UKG and Workday is highly regarded.
• Ability to multitask efficiently and route HR queries appropriately.
• Comfort working in a high‑volume environment.
• Willingness to take on challenges and responsibilities.
• Excellent computer literacy with the full Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous mining experience advantageous but not essential.
• Current valid driver’s licence.
