Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives and foster a supportive community for its associates. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience from onboarding through the entire lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute HR programs, including onboarding, talent acquisition, and employee engagement events.
• Manage recruitment processes, interview managerial candidates, and coordinate with department leaders.
• Develop and implement the hotel’s talent acquisition strategy, network with local organisations, and attend recruitment fairs.
• Maintain accurate employee files, ensure compliance with Australian employment law, and manage workers‑compensation claims.
• Communicate performance expectations and support managers in performance management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar HR managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and working rights.
• Self‑motivated, driven and able to thrive in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
