Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will work on‑site in Western Australia, providing end‑to‑end operational HR support for a construction, fit‑out and maintenance business. This full‑time position covers the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment through to off‑boarding.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management and off‑boarding processes.
• Maintain accurate HR data using the Employment Hero platform.
• Administer HR policies, procedures and employee records.
• Coordinate training and development activities.
• Support managers with employee‑relations matters.
• Oversee benefits administration and assist with payroll‑related HR tasks.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company standards.
• Contribute to HR reporting and support workplace health and safety initiatives.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in generalist HR responsibilities and HR management.
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and ability to interpret employment legislation.
• Experience with employee benefits administration.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with attention to detail.
• Experience in the construction or building industry and familiarity with WHS practices is highly regarded.
