Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

MMG is seeking an energetic and approachable Human Resources Business Partner to support its Rosebery underground mine in Tasmania. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping to shape a positive, high‑performing workplace culture across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide employee relations advice and workplace guidance.
• Support performance management processes and coach managers.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities.
• Assist with payroll administration and respond to employee queries.
• Interpret HR policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related field (preferred).
• Current Australian open driver’s licence.
• Experience in a generalist HR role such as HR Advisor, Coordinator or Business Partner within a fast‑paced environment.
• Background in mining, resources, construction, manufacturing or similar operational sectors is highly regarded.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills across all organisational levels.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards.
• Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS).
