Human Resources Advisor – Site based in Cobar, NSW

About the role
Working closely with site leaders and operational teams, the Human Resources Advisor will help build a positive workplace culture, support workforce performance, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies at our Cobar site.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day HR advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary processes and workplace concerns.
- Interpret and apply enterprise agreements, policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation.
- Partner with leaders on workforce planning, role changes, recruitment and other operational HR needs.
- Contribute to workplace change initiatives, culture programs, engagement and wellbeing activities.
- Support training, development and capability‑building across the workforce.
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting and documentation.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and key stakeholders in a complex operational environment.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as an HR Advisor, HR Officer or similar people‑focused role.
- Sound understanding of Fair Work legislation, employee relations processes and HR best practice.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and industrial instruments.
- Strong communication skills and confidence to engage with all levels of staff.
- Practical problem‑solving ability and capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to work in a remote, site‑based operational environment.
- Experience in a blue‑collar workforce is highly regarded.
- Current driver’s licence.
