Human Resources Advisor – NSW & QLD

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Advisor to support our NSW and QLD workforce. In this generalist position you will manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to employee relations, return-to-work coordination and culture initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees across NSW and QLD.
• Manage employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievances and investigations.
• Coordinate return-to-work for injured workers, liaising with doctors, rehabilitation providers, insurers and managers.
• Support onboarding, induction and performance review cycles.
• Maintain and administer the HRIS (ELMO) and handle HR administration, reporting and procurement of uniforms/PPE.
• Collaborate with the HSEQ team on workers’ compensation, injury management and safety incidents.
• Drive culture and engagement initiatives, recognition programs and employee feedback processes.
• Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and internal policies, and assist with external audits.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and Modern Awards.
• Hands-on experience handling employee relations, performance and grievance matters.
• Experience coordinating return-to-work and workers’ compensation is highly regarded.
• Excellent written communication skills for clear documentation and correspondence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the ELMO HRIS platform.
