Human Resources Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our HR team at the Head Office in Belmont. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide professional HR advice across the employee lifecycle and partner with leaders to drive positive people outcomes while ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to deliver trusted HR advice on a wide range of people matters.
• Coach and support managers to improve their people-management capability.
• Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, grievances and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and analyse workforce reports, providing insights for decision-making.
• Prepare tenders and review pre-qualification documentation to meet client ER/IR requirements.
• Support project start-up and demobilisation processes.
• Oversee end-to-end employment lifecycle activities such as probation, retention initiatives, remuneration reviews, transfers, visas and exit interviews.
• Facilitate consultation for major workplace changes and ensure compliance with industrial instruments.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Law or a related field (highly desirable).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
• Experience coaching and influencing leaders on HR/ER/IR matters.
• Demonstrated case-management experience, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial instruments.
• Organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience supporting organisational change initiatives.
• Analytical experience with Excel.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites and hold a valid Western Australian C or C-A driver’s licence.
