HR Services Officer – Onboarding

About the role

As an HR Services Officer (Onboarding) you will ensure a smooth, accurate and efficient onboarding experience for new employees joining Uniting. You will support the end‑to‑end process, reviewing contracts, completing recruitment steps and performing final checks.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve employment contracts and onboarding documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Complete recruitment processing activities in myPATH to move candidates through the onboarding journey.
• Review and act on candidate compliance outcomes in Zipline.
• Conduct final onboarding checks to verify employee details and ensure all required documentation is complete.
• Identify, investigate and follow up on discrepancies or missing information.
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Services team to meet onboarding timelines.
• Manage a high volume of onboarding tasks while maintaining quality standards.
• Provide support to other HR Services and Payroll activities as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for onboarding processes.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and organised professional with strong administrative skills.
• Ability to work in a structured, process‑driven environment and manage competing priorities.
• Proactive problem‑solver comfortable learning new systems and processes.
• Effective communicator with confidence building positive relationships across teams.

Required skills

• Experience with HR administration, employee onboarding or recruitment administration.
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing documentation.
• Organisational and time‑management abilities to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and learning new HR platforms such as myPATH and Zipline.
