HR Recruiter – Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Kerman Contracting is looking for a proactive HR Recruiter to join our Head Office team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis, covering maternity leave. You will play a key part in driving recruitment and mobilisation activities across our construction and engineering projects, ensuring new hires are onboarded efficiently and ready to contribute.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment administration, including job advertising, shortlisting, interview coordination, phone screening and candidate communication.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, timelines and role specifications.
• Support mobilisation logistics such as travel, accommodation, medical clearances and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment and mobilisation activities using internal systems.
• Prepare employment contracts, onboarding packs and ensure all documentation is completed and filed correctly.
• Monitor outstanding candidate documentation and follow up as required.
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of recruitment and mobilisation processes.

Required profile

• Previous recruitment experience in construction, engineering or a related industry.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
