HR Director, Enabling Functions, APMEA

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for an HR Director for Enabling Functions across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA). You will act as the strategic HR partner to five Vice Presidents leading key Enabling Functions in the region, working with regional and global leaders in IT, Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing and other functions. The role translates business priorities into organization, leadership and talent strategies that support growth, transformation and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior APMEA and global functional leaders to develop and execute people strategies aligned with business priorities and the 4i values
• Collaborate with country, regional and global HR partners to drive the Enabling Functions agenda across the HR organization
• Advise senior leaders on organization effectiveness, leadership, talent, workforce strategy and culture
• Translate enterprise and global strategies into APMEA workforce and talent priorities
• Anticipate business and workforce needs and proactively develop HR strategies
• Lead organization design, effectiveness, transformation, restructuring and integration initiatives
• Use workforce analytics to identify risks, capability gaps and opportunities
• Build leadership and talent pipelines, lead talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development
• Champion internal mobility and cross-functional talent movement
• Act as strategic people leader for major transformation initiatives and build change strategies
• Strengthen an inclusive culture and build partnerships across HR Centers of Excellence and HR Operations
• Serve as liaison between Enabling Functions leadership and the broader HR partner network

Required profile

• Advanced degree plus 10 years of progressive HR leadership, or bachelor's degree plus 12 years in large, complex, globally matrixed organizations
• Preferred fields: Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology or related
• Significant experience partnering with senior executives and influencing strategy in multinational settings
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple countries and cultures in APMEA, Middle East and/or Africa
• Experience supporting multiple corporate or enabling functions (IT, Finance, Legal, HR, Marketing) highly desirable
• Experience leading transformation in complex, multi-country environments and collaborating with country, regional and global HR partners
