HR Advisor

About the role

Join a respected mining services organisation operating across Western Australia. As an HR Advisor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, you will partner with corporate and operational leaders to deliver practical HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. The role is based in Perth CBD with regular travel to operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day HR advice and coaching to managers and employees.
• Support employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and retention initiatives.
• Partner with operational leaders to promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with legislation and company standards.
• Support organisational change, workforce initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate employee records and prepare HR reports as required.
• Travel to operational sites to build stakeholder relationships and provide on‑the‑ground HR support.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HR Advisor or similar generalist role.
• Experience supporting operational or blue‑collar workforces, preferably in mining, resources, construction or industrial settings.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Strong employee relations and stakeholder management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Well‑organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline is highly regarded.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to operational sites.
